Qualifications

Educational backgrounds for our medical technologists must include a Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, medical laboratory science, or a related field.


Applicants must also have one or more of the following:

  • Credentials for a medical lab scientist from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP)
  • Credentials from the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • Medical Tech credentials from the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB)


In addition to the proper credentials, our medical technologists have compassion, a positive attitude, and the following attributes:

  • The ability to perform and learn about clinical laboratory procedures (both using instrumentation as well as manual methods)
  • A demonstrated familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability and desire to learn about validated systems
  • Work flexibility and the ability to work with time constraints
